Organizational Sciences Doctoral Colloquium

A unique opportunity for PhD students to present research ideas and obtain feedback

Workshop Cover

Empowering emerging researchers through dialogue, feedback, and interdisciplinary exchange

What

Doctoral colloquium represents an important outlook where PhD students have a unique opportunity to present research ideas, both to peers and senior researchers, and obtain much-needed feedback for their prospective scientific endeavours.

Why

Doctoral colloquium can bring a number of benefits to the participants such as: a fresh pair of eyes on the research topic, networking with peers with similar research interest, undisturbed flow of comments and suggestions, all leading to the transfer of knowledge and research synergy.

Who

PhD students in the fields of natural sciences, engineering sciences, and social sciences are hereby invited to submit their research proposals for participation in the interdisciplinary Doctoral Colloquium.

All PhD students are encouraged to participate in the Doctoral Colloquium, as well as in the broader SYMORG conference, in order to gain valuable academic feedback, explore potential research collaborations, and further develop their professional networks.

A workshop on “Frameworks for Writing SLRs” will be held as part of the Doctoral Colloquium, led by Professor Justin Paul.

How

Submissions should be prepared in the form of a presentation (maximum of 15 slides) and submitted electronically to symorg.doc@fon.bg.ac.rs no later than 31. May 2026.

All submitted proposals will be evaluated by the Doctoral Colloquium Committee and authors of selected submissions will be invited to present their research before the Committee. Each presentation will be allocated 12 minutes, followed by a 8-minute discussion. The selection process will be guided by the objective of ensuring a broad and balanced representation of research areas and approaches.

Participants of the doctoral colloquium are invited, at their discretion, to prepare their presentations in accordance with the prescribed template and submit them as a manuscript for publication, which will undergo a peer-review process.

Participation in the Doctoral Colloquium and all other conference activities is covered by the student fee.
