Description
Digital business channels boomed during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this period further fuelled a need to redefine existing business models and investigate new ways to harness cutting-edge technologies in business and science.
The section covers many topics mainly directed towards digital business ecosystems, focusing on the impact of COVID-19, and ensuing challenges, and opportunities. Key areas to be addressed are e-commerce ecosystems, digital business channels, agile approaches in business, e-business continuity, social computing apps and services, employing mobile technologies and omnipresent computing, smart environments, innovative approaches in e-business infrastructure, the applications of virtual reality and augmented reality in e-business, etc.
Furthermore, the section aims to raise awareness of the potentials and benefits of these areas and integrate the knowledge and experience of academia and practitioners. A more specific goal is to gather ideas from young researchers and students and encourage them to employ technologies in different contexts.
